The 1857 Reprints

Complete set of the 1857
issue and Carrier large die proofs. This is a hybrid set which is the
only way it comes. Each proof was contrasted by pasting an india plate
proof on india paper and then die sinking it on card. The colors are
brilliant throughout. This set comes for the Earl of Crawford
collection. Few sets are available today. $4,500.00

1c Blue plate proof on india paper and cut to shape, impressed onto
india paper which resemble the size of the die block. This issue only
