Row C New tiems - 1 - 73 with five bar blue cancel from Chicago. PF certificate mentions " top right corner with a few blunted perforations". A rare cancel from the Civil War "blue period" in Chicago. $125.00 2 - 73 with patent cancel. The spike breaks the paper. 87 (E grill) - Baltimore "Not Found" in circle + "Return to Writer" boxed

A marvelous use from LaSalle, ILL sent via Boston and then via Prussian closed Mail to Germany. Appropriate German receiving mark on the back. Red Boston Br. Packet mark on the front.
