FIRST BUREAU DIE PROOFS - APPROVAL COPIES

The complete set as approved by the 3rd Asst. Post
Master General: Kerr Craige.
The one-cent through fifteen-cent (less the
four-cent) are signed and dated August 11, 1894,
the four-cent is signed and dated August 23, 1894, the fifty-cent and
dollar value are signed and
dated August 30, 1894, and the two and five-dollar are signed and dated
September 29, 1894.
There is an interesting twist to this set. Four of the
cards contain two proofs, cut down and
mounted side by side. They are the one and two-cent values, three and
five-cent values, six and
eight-cent values, and the ten and fifteen-cent values. The colors of
the three and eight-cent
values are actually trial colors since they do not match the production
colors.
A unique opportunity to acquire original approval
copies of this issue.

Complete set. Ex-Brazer, "Whitpain"
