Peckmore engraving of 2c
Washington vignette
Harry L. Peckmore prepared this
engraving for H.L. Lindquist to use as a premium for subscribing to
Stamps Magazine. It is engraved, pulled and die sunk directly
onto soft cream card. Lindquist's imprint is blind embossed on
the card. This Peckmore engraving is much more scarce than the
National Park series that he also did for Lindquist. $195.00

69-E2e - 12c Schernikow

die each pulled on color card. Dull red on light pink card, violet
on pale green card, and dark olive on light yellow card. Supposedly
no more then three exist in any combination. $150.00 each.
Broken Bank Notes
Produced by the American Bank Note Company
The following three images are of bank
notes engraved and printed by ABNCo. The bank had failed prior to
delivery of the notes and are therefore unsigned. If you study the
designs you will see that they reflect the best of the engravers
art. Each is handsomely framed using acid free materials. Perfect
for hanging on the wall of your office. They have adorned my office
for over 35 years. They are priced at $95.00 each or take all
three for $275.00

40P2 With manuscript "X"
1c 1857 reprint Roosevelt small die proof which had been impressed
onto a cream colored card. Note that this example shows all of
the die layout lines that were removed (for the most part) from the
die before pulling the proofs for the Roosevelt albums. it was
soaked off to determine the type of die proof. It did have a small
amount of adhesive on the back which was similar to the adhesive
used to paste the small die proofs into the Roosevelt albums. One
can assume that this is one of the leftover (or surplus) proofs
pulled for the production of the Roosevelt albums in 1903. There is
manuscript "X" on the proof probably meant to deface it. The
cardboard backing comes with the proof. Most likely unique!

114 (two), 119, and 129P2a
Pan-Pacific small die proofs
The Pan-Pacific small die proofs are some of the rarest proofs to
reach collector hands. It is believed that no more than five of each
value were pulled. The proofs offered here are free of faults. They
all have the typical toning from being stored in a manila envelope.
The second 3c locomotive is particularly interesting as a result of
the toning effect on the color of the proof. They are priced at
$2,000.00 each with the exception of the second 3c which is
priced at $1,250.00.
