I first met Kent and his father at Rompex about seven years ago. Since that time we have developed a friendship that has gone beyond philately. Kent has collected his entire life and has put together many wonderful exhibits. He enjoys the support of his wife Diane in his collecting pursuits. In addition to collecting Kent also serves as an APS accredited judge and volunteers time to the U.S. Philatelic Classics Society. We are indeed honored to have been chosen to sell Kent's collection.
Several wonderful proof, plate block and postal history pieces from the collection are included in this edition of the newsletter. The entire collection will be made available to collectors at our booth at ROMPEX.
There are many wonderful items in his collection. Some of the highlights include a complete set of plate blocks some of which are the finest known for the issue. There is a wide array of essays present including, several which are unique. The postal history portion of the collection contains a marvelous grouping of rare and exotic destinations throughout.
